(1)
Frequency response curve :
Sweep range can be set from any two frequencies between 20 Hz to 30
kHz. The interval of sampling frequency points can be set from 1/12,
1/24 or 1/48 octave (1/12 Oct. means 12 points in one octave). Two
response curves can be stored (in two colors) for comparison purpose.
The dB value of each curve at any frequency, or the difference between
two curves can be read out directly.
Dynamic range of frequency response :
70 dB in two ranges: 50 to 120 dB SPL and 70 to 140 dB SPL.
Test voltage for response measurements can be set
freely : 0.005V ~ 18V.Accuracy: +/-
(0.8%+0.0003V),
Resolution: 0.002V.
Output power : 0 to 40W (8Ω),
0 to 25W (4Ω)
and 0 to 12W (2Ω).
Set of the upper & lower limits of the frequency
response : Use 1 to 5 loudspeakers to draw 5
reference curves on screen. This system will expand +/- X dB
automatically according to the outline of the curves to form the upper
and lower limit curves. The value X can be set by the user. After
that, any point at each curve can be modified freely to fit the real
requirement. When frequency response is measured, the measured curve
is compared with the limits to determine PASS or FAIL automatically,
and a beep means fail.
Tolerance in
frequency response and sensitivity test
:
(A)
Main unit 171: +/- 0.1 dB (50 Hz to 20 kHz);
+0.1/-0.3 dB (20 Hz to 30 kHz).
(B)
8120H measuring microphone: -46.0 dB V/μbar
+/- 0.5 dB @ 1 kHz; Frequency response +/- 1 dB (30 Hz to 7 kHz) , +/-
1.5 dB (20 Hz to 20 kHz).
(2), (3)
Sound pressure sensitivity :
After the sweep, the 1kHz Sound pressure sensitivity is displayed
automatically. The average value of dB SPL (average sound pressure
sensitivity) is than calculated automatically within the frequency
range f1 to f2 and displayed. Values of f1
and f2 can be set freely in the range of 20 Hz to 20
kHz. The upper and lower limits for these two sensitivities can be set
respectively and the automatic PASS/FAIL judgment will be performed
and displayed.
(4)
Polarity : 1600S
and 1600F can measure the polarity of loudspeakers directly.
(5), (6) and (15)
DCR, ACZ and Impedance curve:
DCR : Test range from 0.00Ω to 1000Ω, Accuracy : +/- (1% of rdg. + 0.05Ω), Resolution: 0.01Ω. ACZ : Test range from 0.00Ω to 4000Ω Accuracy : +/- (1% of rdg. + 0.05Ω) for ACZ<1 kΩ
+/- 2% of rdg. for ACZ = 1kΩ
to 4kΩ
, Resolution: 0.01Ω Impedance curve : Impedance curve can be drawn out in any band within the range of 20 Hz to 30 kHz.
(7), (13) and (14)
Distortion measurement : There are three modes:
A.
Distortion measurement at six
frequency points:
Six fundamental frequencies can be set freely within the range 20 Hz
to 10 kHz. The fundamental frequency points can be chosen from 1 to 6,
and the less the faster. Test voltage can be set from 0.02 V to 18 V.
The upper limit of distortion can be set from 0.2% to 20%. Automatic
PASS/FAIL judgment will be performed.
B.
Distortion curve measurement:
Distortion curve can be automatically measured within the range fL
to fH, in step 1/12, 1/24 or 1/48 Oct. Test voltage can be
set from 0.02 V to 18 V.
C.
Curve of distortion against SPL:
Each of three frequencies chosen in the range from 20 Hz to 10 kHz is
fed to loudspeaker under test. The feeding voltage increases from
small to large gradually. The SPL and its distortion are then measured
and the results are shown as three curves in red, yellow and green.
The SPL range is from 100 dB to 140 dB.
For the above three distortion
measurement, the test range is from 0.1% to 20%. One of the following
harmonic distortion can be selected: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 2nd
and 3rd, 2nd to 4th, 2nd to 5th, and THD. (8) to (11) Fo, Qe, Qt and Qm : Automatic search of Fo, and displayed digitally. Test range from 13 Hz to 3 kHz with tolerance of +/- 1% , Resolution: 0.1 Hz. Qm, Qe and Qt are calculated automatically, and displayed digitally.
Speed
for testing one loudspeaker :
When full automatic test mode is
chosen, only 5.9 seconds are required for testing the all 11 item
(listed below), including the display of all measured results and the
judgment of PASS/FAIL (1/12 Oct, 20 Hz to 20 kHz). Note: 5.9 seconds
is only a typical value, in fact, its test speed is related to the Fo
value of the under testing loudspeaker and the tested width band.
Automatically and continuously
testing: (1) Frequency response; (2) Sound pressure sensitivity at 1
kHz (1 kHz can be changed); (3) Average sensitivity of sound pressure
within a frequency range; (4) Fo; (5) Polarity; (6) DC
Resistance (DCR); (7) AC Impedance (ACZ); (8) Qm; (9) Qe; (10)
Qt; (11) Automatic judgment of PASS/FAIL of above items 1 to 7.
